Youth ADHD and Bipolar Initiative (YABI) launches first big event

9 August 2010

YABI, the Youth ADHD and Bipolar Initiative, will have its first big social event in Melbourne on August 24, featuring AFL legend Billy Brownless as MC and stand-up comic and radio host Lehmo.

Australian of the Year, Professor Patrick McGorry, will also speak at the event.

YABI’s main aim is to help young people aged 18-30 with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and bipolar disorder through peer support and raising awareness in the community.

You can find out more about bipolar disorder by visiting our section on bipolar disorder in young people under 18, downloading beyondblue’s bipolar disorder fact sheet for adults or calling the beyondblue info line 1300 22 4636.
